1. 5th Annual IUPUI Hunger Banquet
The 5th Annual Hunger Banquet will be held on March 24th 2012 at the IUPUI Campus Center room 450 from 5 to 8 pm. The Hunger Banquet is hosted each year by the Global Health Student Interest Group of Indiana University School of Medicine. It is a fundraiser and advocacy event that was developed to draw attention to the growing problem of hunger worldwide and the complexity of foreign aid campaigns. Come enjoy food representative of what citizens in less developed countries eat every day.

2. Kelley Career Fair
This is the 5th annual Kelley Career Fair which is sponsored by the Kelley School of Business-Indianapolis Student Government, along with the Kelley Career Planning Office. 4. Award Nominations for the 6th Annual César Chávez Celebration Dinner
Know someone who has made an "Impacto" on campus?

Nominate them for an award that will be presented at the 6th Annual César Chávez Celebration Dinner on Sunday, March 24.

The Latino Student Association will recognizes one community leader and/or organization, one IUPUI faculty/staff member, and a IUPUI students for their hard work and contributions to the Latino/a Community and its heritage.

16. MTG Commander Tournament 2/22/2013
Gamer's Guild of IUPUI is holding a campus wide casual tournament of popular card game Magic the Gathering. 17. IUPUI 2025: A Strategic Planning Town Hall on Staff Talent
In coordination with IUPUI's strategic planning initiative, a town hall meeting has been scheduled for all staff at IUPUI on February 1, 2013, from noon to 1:30pm, in CE 450A. The town hall is to discuss best practices and future trends related to staff development and IUPUI's ability to find, retain, and develop its staff talent. If you are not able to attend the town hall session at noon, members of the task force will be present to meet with you individually from 10:00-noon and 1:30-2:00pm.

20. CTSI Year in Translational Research for Medical Students
Indiana Clinical and Translational Research Institute (CTSI) invites currently enrolled IUSM medical students who have completed at least one year at IUSM & are interested in taking a year out of medical school to pursue an MS in Translational Science to apply for the MD/MS program. Up to two applicants will receive a stipend of $24,500 and one-year of health insurance coverage. Excellence in Professionalism is geared toward training and educating students on professionalism. This program is free and open to all undergraduate students. Check out the new issue of Student Health 101. This is an interactive online magazine focusing on health and wellness for college students. 23. Free HIV/STD Testing
Do you want to get tested for free? Free HIV/STD testing is held once a month on a Thursday on the IUPUI campus. The next testing will be Thurs. Feb. 7th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in Campus Center, CE 309. Testing is free, safe and confidential and conducted by the Bellflower Clinic and the Damien Center. 25. Open Draw in the Cultural Arts Gallery
We will be keeping the Cultural Arts Gallery open late on February 6 and 20 for a FREE Open Draw Night!

We will be open from 6-9 p.m. Open to all students from any school, figure model and/or subject provided. Bring your own materials, seating provided and some easels available. Food is permitted, bring a friend for some drawing practice and a good time!

26. New Work on Fabric: Selected Pieces by Raylene Jordan
Altered photographic portraits printed on fabric, the exhibit pieces are hung on a clothesline, allowed to move with the breeze, and create a sense of languor as if caught in a dream. Having changed the names and occupations of the participants, the artist plays with the interaction of the real and the unreal and invites the viewer to enter the imaginary lives of real people.

35. Healthy Volunteers Needed to Donate Bone Marrow and Blood
Researchers in the Indiana University Hematology/Oncology Department are studying the biology of osteoclasts which are cells that release calcium from your bones. Participation in the study involves one study visit for donation of bone marrow and blood at Indiana University Hospital. No direct benefit will be derived from participation. To be eligible, you must be between 18 and 90, inclusive, and not be pregnant or allergic to xylocaine. You will be compensated for your time. Contact andejul@iupui.edu.
36. Research Study for Parents of Older Children and Adolescents with Problems
Are you and your teen having problems getting along? Indiana University School of Social Work needs parents of youth ages 10 to 16 to take part in a study. The study will look at the effects of using an online multimedia program and guided discussion for parents of challenging youth. Online participation is anonymous. Participants completing the study receive $40.00. You can use the website link to learn more.

37. Autism Research Study
The Christian Sarkine Autism Treatment Center at IU School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry is conducting a 24-week parent training research study. Children must be between the ages of 3 and 7 with Autism, Asperger's Disorder, or PDD-NOS. Participation requirements, benefits, and risks will be disclosed prior to study enrollment.

38. Riley Hospital for Children Needs Your Help!
Riley Hospital for Children needs healthy full-term infants between 2 and 36 months of age to evaluate how the lung grows.

The evaluation takes approximately 2-3 hours.

You will be compensated for your time participating in the evaluation.

39. Genital Herpes Study
Research Study: Adults at least 18 years old with recurrent genital herpes (between four and 9 outbreaks a year) are needed for a study to test a new drug not approved by the Food and Drug Association. There will be 12 scheduled visits and two 28 treatment periods over approximately 4 months. Research is done at Indiana University Infectious Diseases Research at IUPUI. 40. Type 2 Diabetes Research Study
IUSM Department of Pediatric Endocrinology/Diabetology is looking for individuals who were diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes PRIOR to age 18 to participate in a study requiring only one visit. The goal of the study is to learn more about the relationships between certain genes and type 2 diabetes. 42. African American Healthy Volunteers Needed for Brain Imaging Studies!

IU Psychotic Disorders Program seeks healthy volunteers to participate in a research study using brain scans (MRI). If you are: age 18-23, male, African-American, not on prescription medications, & have no psychiatric illness you may qualify. The study consists of questionnaires, an interview, and one MRI. You will be compensated for your time!

43. Research Study for Adolescents with Juvenile Primary Fibromyalgia Syndrome
Doctors at IU School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry are conducting a research study of an investigational medication for children, age 13-17, with Juvenile Primary Fibromyalgia Syndrome (JPFS). Study involves up to 16 visits & 41 wks. Study procedures, mental health evaluations, & medication or placebo are at no charge. 44. Memory, Language, and Intellectual Abilities Study
If you or your child is between ages 3 and 25 years of age, you might qualify for a new research study.

Researchers at IU School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery are conducting a research study at Riley Hospital to investigate differences in language and neurocognitive skills between people with normal hearing and people with cochlear implants. Study participants will receive free evaluations consisting of language and ability tests and behavior questionnaires. Participants will be reimbursed $20 per hour for your time in testing and $20 per hour for your time in travel.

45. IU Simon Cancer Center seeks applicants for summer program
High school and college students from underrepresented populations interested in cancer research careers can gain hands-on experiences during the 2013 Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center Summer Research Program. The annual program, held in partnership with the IUPUI Center for Research and Learning, places students with a mentor physician or researcher for nine weeks, May 30 to July 26. Participants earn a stipend of $3,200. Applications are due Feb. 15.

46. Have you experienced a brain injury with lasting effects?
The Center for Neuroimaging at IU School of Medicine is recruiting subjects for a study evaluating the effectiveness of 3 treatments in individuals with memory and attention problems related to traumatic brain injury (TBI). Participants must be between 18 and 65 years of age, and have experienced a traumatic brain injury or concussion resulting in lasting problems with attention and memory.
