Description

Biology is the study of life. It is an investigative science that relies upon inquiry, curiosity and experimentation. Biologists study life at the molecular, genetic, cellular and developmental levels in plants, animals, bacteria, fungi, and isolated cells. Studying biology prepares students with scientific knowledge to evaluate and understand new discoveries and make informed decisions that benefit society.

What can you do with this major?

Many career opportunities exist for biology gradates including: Drug testing and development, gene sequencing, Ecology, Immunology, Agriculture, Teaching, and Scientific Writing. With additional training, biology graduates may work in: Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, or research.
