Health and Life Sciences at IUPUI

The Health and Life Sciences website is the one-stop shop for information about majors and pre-professional programs in the three areas of administration, laboratory, and direct patient care. You can also find additional information about research, scholarships, career counseling, and deadlines, as well as view video podcasts.
Direct patient care
Direct Patient Care covers activities involved in providing care to patients in a clinical setting.
Some majors that lead into clinical roles are nursing, radiography, respiratory therapy, exercise science, etc.
Laboratory
Laboratory roles include working individually or with others in a laboratory environment.
Some majors that lead into laboratory roles are clinical laboratory science, cytotechnology, histotechnology, etc.
Administration
Administrative includes working with people, planning, gathering information and education.
Some majors that lead into administrative roles are health information administration, environmental health science, social work, etc.
