Health Care @ IUPUI

IUPUI is home to the IU School of Medicine, IU School of Nursing, IU School of Dentistry, and the IU School of Health and Rehabilitation Services. These schools provide a number of health care services through hospitals, clinics, and community outreach programs.

The IU School of Medicine educates the second largest medical student body in the U.S. Its faculty have performed many “firsts” in Indiana, including transplants of the kidney, liver, cornea, bone marrow, and infant and newborn hearts.

The only dental school in the Hoosier state, Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) offers an extraordinary learning environment in which teaching, research, and community service come together in the best way possible for the preparation of tomorrow’s dental professionals.

The School of Nursing is an integral part of a vibrant urban campus that is committed to supporting individuals wanting to become leaders in the nursing profession. Its IUPUI faculty are nationally and internationally known for their pioneering achievements in patient care, nursing research, professional standards and education.

The vision of the School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) is to be recognized nationally and globally as a leader in graduate health and rehabilitation sciences, and a provider of excellent health care professionals for the state of Indiana and beyond.
