The day started early, with even the youngest fans getting prepared for the festivities ...
No, the FBI wasn't 'officially' involved in serving as race marshals, though the cap could be a fooler ...
Jedi wariors from a galaxy far, far away were on hand to compete ...
... while colorfully decorated fans cheered on their teams ...
Artists worked in all mediums to capture the essence of Regatta, from clay ...
... to sketches ...
... to painting vivid images.
Competing in Regatta is nothing if not fun, worthy of a laugh.
Whoever said two objects cannot occupy the same space obviously has never seen Regatta canoes in action ....
... which caused a few rowers to pay the (wet) price ...
Team exchanges, where one set of rowers leaves the canoe for their replacements, are particularly troublesome.
Through it all, Team Gubernaculum kept paddling hard toward victory.
Concentration is vital to being successful in competition ...
... especially if the water gets choppy and starts flying.
But it all pays off in the end. Ask the champs!
