IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
IUPUI students taking advantage of living on campus began moving in August 20, turning their rooms in the Campus Apartments on the River Walk and Ball Residence Hall into their new homes.

IUPUI Housing & Residence Life employees have turned helping students moving in into a science.
Housing director Aaron Hart (left) helped oversee move-in day.
The first step of any successful move is to empty the car.
Among the ways to achieve this is help -- lots of help!
While toting boxes and other items, though, there is time for lively conversation ...
... but mostly, you know, it's the boxes ...
... and then MORE boxes.
Where was the world before clear with snap-on boxes with lids.
Did someone mention there are lots of boxes involved?
And then there are the stairs.
Sometimes, between the boxes and the stairs, a guy just needs a break.
Once the boxes are in the room, there are the inevitable rearranging decisions.
Space allocation, combined with getting to know your new roomie, can seem like high-level negotiations.
Once you've got the room set up, there are decorations to acquire ...
... and groups to meet about joining the fun ...
... and intramural sports and activities to consider.
Students, especially new students, have to learn their way to campus 'hot spots.'
Once the work is done, it's time to play ...
... something younger family members have been doing all along ...
And finally comes the moment of decision: the parental departure.
