IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
Revelers packed the second-floor hallway of the Business/SPEA building from 1 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 17, 2009, for the inaugural Kelley Virtual Neighborhood Block Party. Tuesday’s event featured the typical party fare, including food and drink, but the name of the game for this party is networking. Stretching the entire length of the building will be various stops to highlight how Kelley is expanding in the virtual world through the use of student blogs, Facebook, podcasts and more. The event will allowed “Kelleagues” - Kelley students, faculty, staff and friends to meet and greet one another like never before. Commuter students who rarely had an opportunity to interact with classmates outside the classroom will now have a one-stop shop to meet new people, learn how Kelley exists in cyberspace and discover exciting news and events happening at Kelley Indianapolis. The event also featured representatives from various student groups, academic advisors, campus housing and other organizations involved in creating the overall IU Kelley Indianapolis experience.
