| Overview | Society recognizes the importance of understanding both management itself and the complex nature of the organizations – in business, government, hospitals, and universities – in which managers operate. The undergraduate courses offered in this major are concerned not only with the broad aspects of management and organization, but also with developing skills for dealing with problems of motivation, organization design, and the increasingly complex problems of human resource allocations in our interdependent society. This major provides the flexibility to accommodate students whose interests include preparation for corporate management training positions, application of behavioral science to management, personnel function in both line and staff capacities, and managing the small business. |
