| Overview | The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Public Health offers programs at the master’s and doctoral levels. The Master of Public Health (MPH) Program is 45 credits and can be completed on a part-time basis in three years, or on a full-time basis in two years. Most of the required MPH courses are offered in the evening to allow working professionals the opportunity to continue their education. Through case studies, group and individual projects, and an internship, students will explore public health problems and issues, learn how to think critically, and work in teams.
The PhD Program in Epidemiology is 90 credits and can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. Students will develop, conduct, and interpret epidemiologic research in preparation for scientific leadership positions in academic, government, non-governmental and industry settings. Courses are taught by scholars and practitioners drawn from many public health disciplines. |
