IUPUI offers a variety of programs over the summer for children, high school students, and even current IUPUI students in some cases. The list below is an attempt to consolidate those offerings in one place.

Chinese Culture Summer Camp at IUPUI
Chinese language, calligraphy, games & crafts, singing & dancing, martial arts
Grades K-8 or ages 5-13
Each Session is held Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. with pre/after care available from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. / 4:14 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., for the following dates:
- July 711
- July 1418
- July 2125
- July 28August 1
- August 48
Participants can register for any or all weeks.
- $150/week for those enrolling on a weekly basis.
- $125/week for those enrolling for the entire 5 weeks.
- $25/week for extended care.

"Dental Detectives" (Dentistry)
Program Description: Students in high school interested in learning about dentistry and careers related to dentistry.
Program Objectives: Increase knowledge of dentistry, foster an awareness of dental health careers, facilitate an interest in dentistry through hands-on activities, provide opportunities for unique and fun dental activities. Provide access to information, staff and faculty with regard to admission into college and eventually dental school.
For 9-12 grade students

Herron is a center of constant creative activity. People have paint on their hands, clay under their fingernails, type fonts on the brain, art movements and ideas in their mental and conversational reach. So it isnt surprising that Herron attracts kids and adults from throughout the Indianapolis area to attend classes, share ideas, create.

Ron Hunter / JCC Summer Basketball Camps
These week long camps work on individual instruction, skill development and team play while campers receive instruction from IUPUI Head Coach Ron Hunter and his staff and past and present members of the IUPUI Jaguars.
Dates: June 10-13; June 30-July 3; July 14-18
Times: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily
Ages: 5-15
Location: Jewish Community Center (6701 Hoover Rd.)
Cost: $165 per session, $300 for 2 sessions or $400 for 3 sessions

Summer Program in China for college students
Program Description:
- Students (with or without prior Chinese language education) from IUPUI, other Indiana University campuses, Purdue University or Indianapolis Urban Consortium schools can apply.
- 4 transferred credits
- Three-week classes in Chinese language and culture at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), Guangzhou, China
- One-week trip to Beijing to see the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and other significant sites
Program Dates: May 17June 15
Costs:
- Only $3,187! Cheaper than going there yourself!
- Scholarships up to $2000 based on academic achievement
