If you are an IUPUI student organization with an event related to the Common Theme, please click here to enter your event information through Student Link. These proposals will be reviewed and updated on the Common Theme calendar.
If you are IUPUI faculty or staff and would like to advertise an event on the Common Theme calendar, please contact Communications Assistant Kanika Warren, at: comtheme@iupui.edu. Include the event title, date, time and location, a brief event description, contact information, and any other information you would like us to include.
If you are a community member with an event related to the Common Theme, please tell us so we can advertise it under Community Events. Since happiness has increased with income in the past, we assumed it would do so in the future. However, it is a fallacy. McKibben’s aim in Deep Economy is relatively modest. It is to change minds, to present a new mental model of the possible. He suggests more progress toward local economies. His analysis of localization for food, radio, and energy, can be applied to almost any commodity. If we start thinking a little differently we can do the same for our democracy.
