IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
Chancellor's Medallion
The criteria for awarding the Chancellor's Medallion was proposed in October 1992 as follows:
- High Achievement in the Arts & Humanities, Sciences, or Education;
- Significant Accomplishment in a Profession or in the Commercial World;
- Distinguished Service as a Public Official (including service on the local, state, national, or international level); and
- Significant Philanthropic Endeavors or Service to the Community (including service to the local, state, national, or international community.)
