Michael Young is a state senator representing Senate District 35, which includes portions of Johnson, Marion and Morgan counties. Previously he served as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 1986 to 2000 and as a member of the Marion County Board of Zoning Appeals. Senator Young currently serves on the Senate Committees on Corrections, Criminal & Civil Matters, Elections & civic Affairs, Governmental Affairs and Interstate Cooperation and Pensions & Labor. He is also involved with the Wayne Township GOP and the Decatur Township GOP. Senator Young attended Indiana University-Indianapolis where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History. He was also honored by the Indiana State Employee's as Legislator of the Year. |
