Indianapolis attorney Greg Taylor became a member of the Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus after being elected to represent Senate District 33 in November of 2008.
In the State Senate Taylor is the ranking Democrat on the Insurance and Financial Institutions Committee and serves on that panel's Financial Institutions Subcommittee. He is a member of the Senate Commerce, Public Policy and Interstate Cooperation Committee. He also serves on the Senate Corrections, Criminal and Civil Matters Committee as well as the Corrections and Criminal Subcommittee. A member of the senate Judiciary Committee, he also serves on the Courts and Juvenile Justice Subcommittee. Taylor has also been appointed as a member of the Commission on the Social Status of Black Males.
Taylor also serves on the Communications, Financial Services and Interstate Commerce Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures.
A graduate of Indiana University Law School, Taylor is Senior Counsel at Gonzalez, Saggio and Harlan, LLP, in the firm's transactional division and specializes in municipal finance law. Prior to his work with Gonzalez, Saggio and Harlan, Taylor worked for the State of Indiana Department of Commerce, Business Development Division. He is also a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Indiana State Bar Association.
Taylor is actively involved with the Major Taylor Foundation and serves on the City of Indianapolis Equal Opportunity Advisory Board. Taylor attends Great Light Church and resides in Indianapolis with his wife, Danielle, and three children, Jackson, Savannah, and Estella.
