Lacy Johnson is a partner in the Indianapolis-based law firm Ice Miller. His primary areas of practice focus on governmental services where he works as a lobbyist and public affairs counsel, sports and entertainment and gaming.
Mr. Johnson serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Airport Authority. He also serves on the boards of American Pianists Association, Boy Scouts of America - Crossroads of America Council, Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. and the Skyline Club. He is a member of the United States Democratic Black Caucus, the Lawyers Council of the Indianapolis Civil Liberties Union, International Association of Chiefs of Police and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He previously served on the boards of Flanner House, Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), the Damien Center, the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center Advisory Board, the Indianapolis Public Housing Agency Board, Simon Youth Foundation, and Indiana Black Expo. Mr. Johnson was recently named in Who's Who in Black Indianapolis, and has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer.
A life-long resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lacy Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in 1976. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, where he graduated in 1981. He is a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. He is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana.
Before joining Ice Miller in 1993, Mr. Johnson served as attorney in Government Relations Services at Sagamore-Bainbridge, Inc.; director of security for the Indiana State Lottery; liaison with the Indiana General Assembly and deputy superintendent for support services of the Indiana State Police.
