President and CEO Clarian Health Partners First Appointed: 2003 Term Ends: 2012 |
Daniel F. Evans, Jr. was appointed president and chief executive officer of Clarian Health Partners on October 31, 2002. He assumed that responsibility after having served as the interim CEO since July 25, 2002. Clarian Health Partners was formed in January 1997 through the consolidation of Methodist Hospital of Indiana, Inc., Indiana University Hospital , and Riley Hospital for Children. Mr. Evans has been active on the Clarian board of directors since its formation in 1997 and served as its chairman from 2000-2002. From 1985 to December 2002, Mr. Evans was an attorney and partner with Baker & Daniels representing large corporations and financial institutions before state and federal regulatory agencies. Mr. Evans was sworn in as chairman of the Federal Housing Finance Board on December 18, 1990, after being nominated by President George H. Bush. From 1987 to 1990, Mr. Evans served as chairman of the Federal Home Loan Band of Indianapolis. Mr. Evans' current civic activities include membership on the boards of the Indiana Public Health Institute, Indiana Hospital & Health Association, Indiana Health Industry Forum, the Indiana and Indianapolis Chambers of Commerce, Indianapolis Downtown Inc., Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, BioCrossroads (Central Indiana Live Sciences Network), and numerous other community, academic, and health care-related boards and advisory committees. Mr. Evans is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and of the bars of Indiana, the 7 th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as the current chairman of the Indiana Legal Foundation. Mr. Evans is an Indianapolis native who received his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law in 1976. |
