Problem Solving Skills December, 1998 "Sorting through all the information was definitely one of the most challenging areas of this class.
It was most important to discard information that was out of date or was from an unreliable source. Then, the process
of brining all of the information together was one of the final steps. The annotated bibliography was
time consuming, but very helpful. It organized my information in a way that let me wee
what part of my paper each of my sources provided information for. Then,
the literature review integrated all of my information, which
gave me a clear view of what I wanted my final product to look like.
The careful steps taken in the early stages of my
research really helped lay the foundation for my portfolio."
May, 1999 "Analytical thinking is also one of the
most important skills utilized this semester. It allows a person to take
information about a problem and draw conclusions based on the facts presented
before them. This is useful when the problem is more difficult than a typical
yes or no situation. In this class, analytical thinking was used in developing
our research strategy, in deciding what literature to use in presenting the problem,
and what solutions to present to the client. As you can see, the entire semester
has been about utilizing analytical thinking skills. In today's professional world
analytical thinking is one of the most revered skills that employers look for."
