Update on October 1 Deadline
Research and Sponsored Programs (R&SP) would like to thank everyone for making this the most successful October 1 deadline to date. Many faculty members submitted their proposal early while a number of others took advantage of the partial proposal routing procedure (see http://www.iupui.edu/%7Erspcommu/2004/nl-january-04.htm) both of which resulted in a much more manageable workload for R&SP staff. The feedback on the partial proposal process from faculty and staff was very positive and we appreciate all of the comments received thus far.

Overall, in the month of September, R&SP processed 235 proposals and 80 miscellaneous documents such as budget revisions, time extensions, and additional information requested by funding agencies. Of these, 122 had an October 1 deadline and 14 had deadlines of September 29 or 30. Ninety proposals were submitted to the National Institutes of Health and 31 proposals were submitted to the Clarian Values Fund. For a comparison to prior years, please see the following tables.
