Indiana University Vector Production Facility (IU VPF)provides production and testing services for academic investigators conducting genne therapy research.

The IU VPF has been engaged in the production of retroviral and lentiviral gene therapy products intended for Phase I/II clinical trials. Academic investigators can collaborate with the IU VPF for a variety of services that are available at cGMP. A list of service can be found on the following Services link.

For investigators funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, funding of vector production may be available through the NHLBI Gene Therapy Resource Program (www.GTRP.org). The GTRP can provide support for preclinical vector production, toxicology, clinical vector production and clinical trial support to NIH funded investigators. The IU VPF is the designated clinical lentiviral production site for the GTRP program

The IU VPF is also the site of the National Gene Vector Biorepository (NGVB). The NGVB is funded by the National Center for Research Resources, NIH and provides assistance to investigators through a reagent repository, archiving services, and with FDA required post-trial monitoring.
