Steering Committee: Broad Vision

The steering committee meets twice yearly to provide oversight and advice with regard to the vision and growth of the ICVBM. Its members provide key links to the Department of Medicine, the research environment of the entire School of Medicine, basic and clinical sciences, and include the Directors of two other key Centers at Indiana University: the Cancer Center and the Walther Oncology Center. It reviews progress and planning updates of the Center as prepared by the Director for its meetings.

Pilot Project Evaluation Committee: Future Vision

This committee, when funds are available, selects projects for funding from proposals submitted as described in detail below (Pilot Project Program). Applications are invited for submission annually and are distributed to the committee for review. The Director reviews the committee’s recommendations and then in concert with funding availability and current Center direction, determines which projects receive funding.

Development Board

Our plan for this committee’s role follows:
Development board members will serve in an advisory role to the Center Director and present matters of community interest, philanthropic appeal and personal insight into the short- and long-term planning strategies of the ICVBM. They will help raise awareness of the ICVBM among capable Hoosiers and others in order to advance vascular research, education and treatment at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Board members will also assist the Director and the Gift Officer for the ICVBM in a fund-raising capacity.
